On the 29th of June to the 3rd of July 2011, University of Manchester hosts the 3rd biennial conference of the European Network for Social and Emotional Competence in Children (ENSEC).

The theme of the 2011 conference is 'Social and emotional education across the world: celebrating diversity in theory, research and practice'. There are three conference sub-themes:

  1. International perspectives - exploring the diversity of approaches to social and emotional education from countries around the world.
  2. Diversity and innovation in thinking - research that supports new ideas or theories relating to social and emotional education.
  3. Practical application - presentations that inform policy and practice.
