Travellers - SAYLE

On the basis of the SAYLE project aimed at young people in advanced youth education (high school), young people - who show signs of poor personal welfare - are offered participation in the intervention programme Travellers.

Purpose

Travellers is developed to help young people see events and challenges in their life in a broader perspective. Not by focusing on problems and lack of mental strength, but on personal well-being, development of strength and resources.

The aim is to develop new ways of thinking, particularly in challenging and stressful situations. Similarly, the Travellers programme is aiming to promote a feeling of self-confidence.

Travellers from New Zealand

Originally, Travellers was developed by skylight in New Zealand where students at the schools have been offered the programme with good results. In Denmark it has been adapted to Danish culture.

The project is financially supported by The Ministry of Social Affairs.
